Bush Road Revisited is an exhibition of landscape paintings by Dunedin artist Rodney Hamel. Rodney has been captured by Bush Road and its environs, returning again and again to sketch this part of Dunedin with its wide views of the South Coast.
He has focused on the lush green hillsides with occasional glimpses of the Pacific Ocean. Winding country roads invite us in, and it is easy to imagine travelling across these soft rolling hills – a nod to Grant Wood’s influence on Rodney’s paintings.
