These works have been inspired by beach and sea walks around the Otago coast.

They reflect on the history and spirit of these areas. Of particular interest are Waitati, Doctor's Point Beach and Blueskin Bay. Within this sky, sea and landscape living images of the past and present are explored. The abstraction of sea and sky provide compelling images of light through shadows. Evolving forms from tidal and seasonal change are reassuring but awe inspiring at the same time. The drama, yet calm of the sea itself, forms the basis of these images.
